After several tight games against strong opposition, this was an opportunity for the U15B Taunton School boys to prove themselves. However, Millfield's superior speed, strength, handling, game knowledge and appetite told a different story. Taunton barely fired a shot, in spite of Pitman's fine running and Ford's (on for an injury) decision making on the rare occasion when Taunton laid hands on ball. Dutton also deserves credit for his tackling, saving Taunton on at least one occasion from further blushes. Performance-wise, this was a game to forget. Millfield declared at 49-3, the 3 points coming from Armstrong's decision to shoot for the posts at 28-0, and the teams swapped packs for a managed finish. During the 15 minutes of managed play, Taunton boys stepped up and showed more of their true threat. But it was too little and too late.
